MG2814 push pull mortise locks are designed with keys, allowing the doors to be locked with the keys to ensure both safety and an easy door opening. Doors with this type of lock are quick and easy to open from the outside. The lock body shells are made of POM plastics while the latch bolts are made of POM and zinc alloy, ensuring a better muting effect. Levers are made of aluminum alloy material and surface treated through electroplating and painting to ensure a better color adhesion, no paint loss, a better corrosion resistance and a higher durability. Lock colors are customizable.

Determine the door opening direction. Place the lock body (with the arrow facing upwards) into the set hole and ensure the latch bolt’s inclined surface faces the door closing direction. If the direction of inclined surface is wrong， pull the latch bolt out of lock body and rotate it by 180°. Then insert it back into the lock body. Install the front plate and tighten the screws.
Inward opening door: push from the outside and pull from the inside. After installing the push-pull escutcheon panels, install the lever handles (screw attachment hole facing upwards), then tighten the screws. Outward opening door: push from the inside and pull from the outside. After installing the push-pull escutcheon panels, install the lever handles (screw attachment hole facing upwards), then tighten the screws. (*Notice: when installing push and pull escutcheon plates, make sure the push arrow faces up on push plates, and the pull arrow faces up on pull plates).
Install cylinder thumb turn plates: Pull the key out first, then connect the inner plate to the outer plate through the lock body’s flat hole, then tighten the screws.
Install the striking plate on the corresponding position of the door frame and make sure that latch bolt and dead bolt can move in and out freely
Test after installation (1) When the knob is vertical, push/pull level handles and the pressing latch bolt by hand into the inclined surface direction. The latch bolt should freely turn over and be easily pressed and removed from the lock body. When pressing the latch bolt without push/pull lever handles, the latch bolt will not turn over. (2) When the knob is in the transverse direction, door is locked. At this time, the latch bolt will not turn over when pressed, no matter if the lever handle is pushed or pulled. (3) If the latch bolt operates freely, installation is complete. If not, reset all components.
